   Ken Kahn
   Senior Researcher
   Learning Technologies Group
   Oxford University Computing Services

My background is in computer science and AI. My research has been focused upon programming tools for non-experts. After over a decade of working on programming systems and research projects aiming to enable school children (and even pre-schoolers) to build computer programs, simulations, and games, I started a project at Oxford in 2006 with the goal of enabling university students to build serious agent-based models without first learning to program. My current interests are centered on enabling students, researchers, and others without programming expertise to build, explore, and analyse computer models. I am also interested in the role of game playing and making in education.
