CABDyN Welcomes Dr Elizabeth Leicht

We are pleased to announce that Elizabeth Leicht joined CABDyN as a Senior Research Fellow in Complex Systems on 1 September 2010.  She also holds a Junior Research Fellowship at Wolfson College, which is funded via a collaborative agreement with Aalto University in Finland.  Her position is additionally supported via the ICTeCollective project, which is funded by the European Commission Future and Emerging Technologies Programme.  Elizabeth joins us from a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of California at Davis, where she worked with Raissa D'Souza in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.  She obtained her PhD in physics from the University of Michigan under the supervision of Mark Newman, applying statistical methods and models to large-scale empirical networks.  Current interests include the complex social and technical networks that constitute much of the critical infrastructure that surrounds us.
